Battle Report: The Temple of Fate - The second Soul Gem

The Spiritwalker Aram Tazur has discovered the location of the second Soul Gem. Once again the Templars ventured into the darkness and after a hard day's journey they arrived at a demon-infested dungeon in the mountains:

The Templars found the second Soul Gem but the battle was hard and gruesome. Demons and Undead alike proved themselves to be extremely hard enemies and the Templars had to drag one another back to Krähenhort, barely alive and dangerously weakened.

I enjoyed this. Very good. The only thing I would say, is that it would be nice to have some more of the story being told in the battle reports. So tell us what's happening. Doesn't have to be every part, but now and again.

Glad to see the Bloodletters being used. They look good. What was the reason for using the colours you did on their blades?

Thank you, Nathan! :)
I always add the background information about what is going on in the current game session. Sometimes I add a bit of information under the pictures but not very often since I like to tell the story through the images. :)

I chose this color scheme for the blades because it works very well with the tones of red while giving the miniature more contrast. I also tried a black/red/yellow color scheme for a more flaming look but didn't choose that one because there are already so many tones of red with black used on the miniatures and I wanted a stronger optical contrast. :)

Beautiful pics and very fine job on the photography. I really liked the music to accompany the action. I recognized some of the minis used but I am very curious about the origins (what manufacturer) when I see cool new minis I don't recognize.

Thank you very much, Joe! :)
I'm always happy to share where I got my minis from. :)

Most of the miniatures for these Templars are from Reaper Miniatures:
Duke Gerard
Kristianna
Almaran the Gold
Gargram, Dwarf Sergeant

This one is from Privateer Press:
Wolves of Oboros

And this one is from Cipher Studios:
Gilles de Rais

The tentacles are mostly from a conversion of this miniature:
Well Of Doom
I also use some small tentacles with the ones from the well of doom but I don't remember where I got those (I think I may have bought them spontaneously at a convention).

The demons:
Bloodletters of Khorne
Daemonettes of Slaanesh
Rahl, Duke of Pain (a modified version)
Tzeentch Sorcerer Lord (a modified version)
In this setup I used two different versions of this miniature:
Azaroth the Fallen One

And the big undead is from Andrea Miniatures:
Menhom, Dark Shadow

I think that covers every miniature used in this setup. :)
